Like one of our famous trails in Puna, our church exists to help people get to a beautiful destination. God tells us in the Bible that He desires all people to be with Him forever. So, Puna Covenant Church has been sharing the way to be part of God’s family since 1912, which is to know Jesus as Lord and Savior.
Puna Covenant Church has been a member of the Puna community since 1912. Plantation workers and families wanted to establish a church in Puna. So out of that desire a church was planted in 1912. A second group of plantation workers and families started another church in 1927. These two churches merged and is now the Puna Covenant Church that we know today. Many kahu and leaders have helped developed our church and we have embraced the call of Jesus to make disciples of our community and the people across the globe.
